Facing the recently redeveloped main street of Carpenedolo (via Baronchelli) is the main elevation and entrance of a sky-ground portion of a beautiful Art Nouveau building with rustic backs and a small cottage in need of renovation.
The entrance hall is very welcoming of great visual impact where a spiral staircase catches the guest’s attention and dominates the entrance room. The flooring of the entrance hall is inlaid marble, the steps of the staircase have a rounded edge, and the prevalent color of the entrance hall is pink. The staircase that provides access to the living area (second floor) and the sleeping area (second floor) is also made of the same material. A wooden staircase connects the sleeping area with the attic now used as a bedroom. A terrace located on the same level as the attic allows a 360-degree view of the historic center.
The building is structured as follows:
1) Ground floor: entrance hall, laundry, central heating plant and a small store;
2) First floor: kitchen-living room, spacious living-dining room and day bathroom. A small balcony overlooks Baronchelli Street. In the living room there is a precious 18th-century botticino marble fireplace.
3) Second floor: two double bedrooms and a single. The sleeping area has two bathrooms.
4) In the back there is an open porch where it is possible to park two cars. From the courtyard it is possible to access the basement cellar.
Of the entire house is fine marble, except for the sleeping area, which is covered with parquet hardwood planks (Iroko essence). The flooring and wainscoting in all bathrooms is also marble.
All habitable rooms are equipped with summer cooling system.
The location of the buildings is really convenient to all public facilities in Carpenedolo: parish church, the two main pharmacies, city hall, early childhood school, elementary school, middle school, and the main banks.
